Videos...

So, it's been an amazing week here at Magalia Pines. We averaged I think around 60 some odd kids or more. All together with workers and such there were over 150 I think at some points...I can't remember our largest number but it was over 77 I think. We've been having alot of fun though. We've started making videos...if you would like to see any of them, do not fret. We have set up our own channel on youtube. You can easily visit our channel at www.youtube.com/ecmissionaries ...all of our videos are loaded there once we make one. The sound and visual is a little off but it's some of our best work. We just have so much fun making videos together. We all work so well together. We are departing from Edie at the end of this day. She has to go home and get ready for school. It's going to be sad. Just pray that she has safe travel home. We are headed off to Yuba City again!! I'm really excited. We get to see tons of people we have met over the summer. It's gonna be a big VBS I think. Hopefully everything will go well with me teaching and all. I have the boys to help me though so it's all good. Well...I'm off. Love you all...8 days til I'm home.

First day

So this week we are at Magalia Pines. We did the first day of bible school today. It went really well. We had 59 kids there. I'm helping the 1st-2nd grade class. We had 10 kids in our class. We have the smallest class. It was a lot of fun though. After that we went to a place called Esther's hope and helped out there. The boys took the roofing off the house and we put all the stuff into a dump truck. It was hot there. I got sooo dirty. It was good though. Now we're just hanging out now. We're gonna go to a movie later. It should be fun. Well that's really all. Love you all!

Starting all over

So here we are...it's been 8 weeks since I left home...working on our 9th week. It's soo crazy to think about. At this point I don't really miss home anymore. Reason being I know I'll be there in like 2 weeks and that will fly by. I'm just not ready to leave here. I love it here! I just want to stay and just have my family come over here...that would be nice. This place has just been a great blessing to me. It's great to see so many people serving the Lord in a place that is not acustomed to that. This place is a great opportunity for missions work!

Anywho...we had a youth rally tonight. Not many kids showed up. We knew most of them from camp a few weeks ago. It was fun though. We played chubby bunny with marshmallows and pickles. I won. Five of each...I got a big mouth. This week we are at Magalia Pines. It's gonna be a really busy week. But hopefully we will be able to have lots of fun too. We know alot of the people from camp and stuff. It's our next to last week and I'm getting sad. But I'm sleepy. Love you all!!

Less than 3 weeks to go...

So I've gotten a cold. I am not a happy camper at the moment. I hate getting sick. I don't do it too often so I'm not having fun, plus I don't have my mommy here to make me better. We finished our second day of VBS for the kids. We had 19 kids. It went good besides the fact that I feel horrible at the moment. Tonight for youth we are going to the skating rink. It's christian family skate night so that should be fun. I havn't been skating in forever! I come home in less than 3 weeks. It doesn't seem like I've been gone for 7 weeks but at the same time it feels like I've been gone forever. Well I'm gonna go. Don't really have too much to write today. Love you all!

Start of a new week

This week we are in Corning. It is known as the olive city. They grow lots of olives here. We are at olive branch baptist fellowship. We had our first night of youth VBS. It went pretty good. There were only 4 or 5 youth. It was fun though. We start kids VBS at 9 tomorrow. We have it from 9-12 and youth from 7-9. It's great being back with the whole team again. It's starting to get to the end of the summer. Only 3 weeks left or a little less. I really love California. Well Northern California or NorCal for short. It's been alot of fun. This place is in need of some good ministry. We leave on Friday after VBS. We have to be at the kick off for the Migrant Camp thing. At the end of the summer we are doing a migrant vbs at the migrant camp where all the people live that work in the farms because there are alot of farms here. We're going to be working with them the last week and they are having a rally and a little training for it. We were first told we didn't have to go but now we are. We've really learned to be flexible and just go with the flow. Well I'm off to bed. Love you all!!

Yuba homecoming

Today was amazing. It was one of the happiest days for me. Bible school went well this morning at the Esplanade. We had kids and parents and it was alot of fun. We got picked up around 12:30 to be transported to Yuba City. We love Yuba City. We met sooo many great people here. We all found out we are staying with the same people that we stayed with the first time we were here so it all worked out really well. It was like coming home her in California. Their our Californian family. It's great. We did VBS tonight but only had 11 kids. We really just sat around cause there were alot of workers. Before VBS started me and Adam went for a walk and found the mall. It was very random seeing as we didn't really know where we were. It was funny though.

We got to go swimming when VBS was over at Janna's house. I love Janna. She is great. She is a granddaughter to the people we are staying with and we got to know her really well when we were here the first time. It was alot of fun and it was great catching up with the people we spent a week with here. I'm back with my team til the end of the summer. It's gonna go by really quick but I'm really excited to see what God has in store for it. Love you all!!!

Good times

So, I've been having a good couple of days. Yesterday we got to hang out with Adam and Zac over in Oroville where they are at. We just sat around with them and went to youth group with them at their church. It was a great help for me this week to see them. Today we got to hang out with them again at one mile here in Chico. It's a huge city park and it's a swimming hole.

We found out yesterday that we are leaving here tomorrow at 12:30 to go to Yuba City. I'm super excited! It's only for the weekend though. A church there is having a weekend VBS we are helping out with. After that we are off to Corning for another VBS. I am super excited about the next few weeks here. They are going to be amazing. I leave for home in 3 weeks Saturday. I'm excited about going home but I really really love it here. I've made life long friends and it's going to be hard to leave them. California is an amazing place. I'm hopefully gonna be coming out here for the rest of my life now. I really want to bring my family and let them see all I've seen and meet all the amazing people I've met. But God is good and he's taken care of me. I was really worried about this week, but it turned out really good. Be in prayer for the rest of the summer. It's gonna be really busy! We will be doing more VBS's than weeks left.
